Unbelievable

This gem, from Chuck Colson, director of the misnamed Loudoun-based Prison Fellowship Ministries, is from another breathless email about the Matthew Shepard Act.

For the bill’s supporters, it is not enough to walk down the street in complete safety. (link) , (link) Nor is it enough to be able to work and live wherever you please. (link), (link)

I just have one question. How preposterous do these lies have to become before the liars start bursting into flames?

You haven’t seen any politicians bursting into flames, have you?

  2. Jonathan says:

Actually, Cleveland mayor Ralph J. Perk once set his hair on fire. This from the same city that set its river on fire.

Was he at a Michael Jackson concert?

  4. Jack says:

Those resolutions are against ILLEGAL immigrants.

Was he at a Michael Jackson concert?

Har. No, I believe it was a welding convention.

I’m not shocked (although perhaps disappointed) by lying politicians. It’s the relentless, deliberate, shameless lying by people who loudly proclaim themselves to be Christians that I find shocking. Don’t you?

The resolutions in question may be written to apply to undocumented immigrants, but how do you foresee them being implemented? Are public libraries going to be required to demand proof of legal status from all patrons? Or, just some patrons?

How could these ideas possibly be implemented without racial profiling?

  6. David says:

On the bright side, though: Since Mr. Colson seems to have again run out of prisoners to minister to, maybe he can have all the folks who are being detained pending proof of legal residency.

  7. Jack says:

Indeed. Many politicans claim to be Christians, too.

I have no problem with the libraries’ requiring proof of citizenship to issue a library card.

What’s wrong with racial profiling? FYI — it happens to White people, too. Both friends and relatives have been taken aside at the airport because their names match those of IRA terrorists.

  8. Jack says:

That falls into the STBY class — sucks to be you. Considering the time, effort, and expense many LEGAL immigrants expended to get here legally, I would think they would like to see the illegals prosecuted.
