Custody case involves courts in Virginia, Vermont

A custody case involving a Virginia couple linked under Vermont’s civil-union law and their 2-year-old daughter will soon be back in court.
Lambda Legal, the ACLU of Virginia and Equality Virginia announced on Wednesday that they will work with Janet Miller-Jenkins on her appeal of the decision of a Frederick County judge who ruled in August that Miller-Jenkins was no more than a friend to the daughter of Lisa Miller-Jenkins, her former domestic partner.
