Unitarian Universalist Church of Loudoun

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Loudoun (UUCL) joins other religious and community organizations in support of The Cypress Project to promote healing in the wake of the July 2006 hate crime against a gay couple in Aldie.

As part of our mission at UUCL, we affirm the worth and dignity of every person and welcome and nurture diversity. In our official standing as a "Welcoming Congregation," we commit to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all, regardless of sexual orientation.

We believe that the principles behind our mission and the commitment we make as a Welcoming Congregation are aligned with the goals of The Cypress Project. We will work together to restore the physical and spiritual damage sustained as a result of the July 2006 hate crime and continue to promote the value of respecting diversity and living together in peace to prevent future occurrences.
